Accrue’s investment philosophy is to completely focus on you. We do not believe that you should have to adapt to a specific investment style; rather, we develop portfolios structured around the unique style requirements of you, the client. We appreciate that each client is an individual with unique needs, risk profile and circumstances that dictate the appropriate asset mix and the attributes of the securities to be selected. Only after fully understanding your specific needs do we implement a disciplined approach and solution to managing your investment portfolio.

At Accrue, we aim for superior investment performance, set within risk parameters agreed and formalised with the client. This premise is the cornerstone of our investment philosophy for each and every client. All clients receive a detailed report outlining their individual investment recommendations, following on from an initial meeting. Such initial reports are prepared without charge or obligation. Our investment management team has a singular mandate – to design portfolios for our private clients. Each portfolio is designed within an overall framework in which the preservation of capital is paramount.

In constructing a portfolio we take into account each client's unique tax, estate and succession circumstances. We use a disciplined and structured approach when building your portfolio, developing investment strategies with an after-tax perspective in order to optimise overall capital or wealth preservation. Our portfolio strategy is predominantly a bottom-up process. However, it does include the necessary top-down elements of macro-economic outlook and expectations for financial market returns. Quantitative and traditional fundamental analyses are both used in the equity selection process and investments are bought or sold only after considering the tax implications.
